Rwanda National Police Academy Opens Applications for TVET Graduates in ICT

The Rwanda National Police announces that graduates of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in ICT-related fields may apply to study at the Rwanda National Police College in Musanze. Applications open on 3 October 2026 and close on 12 October 2026.

Overview

Following its announcement on 16 September 2026 regarding admissions to the Police College in Musanze District, Northern Province, and in light of the changes made by the University of Rwanda regarding eligibility, the Rwanda National Police has informed the public that TVET graduates in ICT are invited to apply.

Application Period

• Opens: 3 October 2026
• Closes: 12 October 2026

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

1. Be a Rwandan citizen.
2. Be between 18 and 23 years old.
3. Have passed the national secondary school examinations with good results.
4. Have never been sentenced by a court to a prison term exceeding six months.
5. Be of good moral character and conduct.
6. Have never been dismissed from public service.
7. Be in good health.
8. Be single (unmarried).
9. Have studied one of the following TVET combinations: Software Development (SWD), Networking and Internet Technology (NIT), Computer Systems and Architecture (CSA), or Software Programming and Embedded Systems (SPES). Applicants must have passed all science subjects required by the University of Rwanda, with a score of at least 80%.

Eligible candidates must apply online through the Rwanda National Police website, www.police.gov.rw, by going to the E-Recruitment platform and following the stated rules and instructions.
