MINISANTE SCHOLARSHIPS AT KIBOGORA POLYTECHNIC FOR SEPTEMBER 2026 INTAKE

Kibogora Polytechnic (KP) is inviting eligible and qualified candidates to apply for funded scholarships for the September 2026-2027 academic intake. The scholarships are open to students who want to pursue undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Science in General Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Midwifery.

The opportunity is offered by Kibogora Polytechnic in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, under the Government of Rwanda's 4x4 Strategy initiative. The aim is to build more skilled health professionals and strengthen the country's healthcare workforce.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following general requirements:

Have completed secondary education and meet the relevant admission requirements.
Be medically fit and ready to follow the nursing or midwifery training programme on a full time basis.
Provide all required application documents.
Meet the programme-specific academic requirements listed below.
Sit for and complete the required admission test.

ACADEMIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Your requirement depends on when you finished school and what you studied. Find your category before you apply.

1. Candidates who completed secondary school from 2024 onwards

Overall average of at least 60%.
At least an E grade in both Biology and Chemistry.

2. Candidates who completed Senior Six before 2024

At least two principal passes.
At least a C grade in both Biology and Chemistry.

3. Applicants who completed an Associate Nursing Programme in secondary education after 2023

Overall average of at least 60%, and
At least an E grade in both Biology and Chemistry, or
At least an E grade in both Fundamentals of Nursing and Clinical Attachment.

4. Applicants who completed a Nursing Programme before 2008 (formerly A2 Nursing)

Applicants must hold a valid licence to practise issued by the National Council of Nurses and Midwives (NCNM), and must have obtained at least a C+ in:

Fundamentals of Nursing
Introduction to Anaesthesia
Practical Examination

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Senior Six (S6) Certificate
National Identification Card (ID)

Make sure everything you submit is complete, clear, and accurate. Scan your documents properly. A blurry certificate is one of the easiest reasons to get rejected, and one of the easiest to avoid.

APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Interested and eligible candidates should follow these steps:

Go to the KP Online Application Portal: https://kp-mis.kp.ac.rw/
Create your account and complete the online scholarship application.
Upload the required documents, that is your S6 Certificate and National ID.
Submit the application before the deadline.
Wait to be invited to sit for the admission test.
Final scholarship beneficiaries are selected based on admission test performance and compliance with all entry requirements.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Any applicant found with false information or an incomplete file will be disqualified.
Selected students will be required to sign an agreement based on the scholarship terms. Read it carefully before signing.
Meeting the requirements alone does not guarantee a scholarship. The admission test decides the final list.
